Bibimbap and panchan at Oak Tree (참나무 – Chamnamoo) Restaurant! As usual, bibimbap always looks too pretty to mix up and eat.

IL Corvo – Pasta Fatta a Mano
UncategorizedAmazing flavors and textures. The pasta misto was, without exaggeration, the best pasta I’ve ever eaten. It was so yummy I could have inhaled it, but for the sake of company restrained myself.
Started off with a Kale salad.
Moved into dipping a super soft focaccia bread, topped with cheese, into olive oil.
Whole grain tagliatelle with bushito peppers.
Pasta misto with mushrooms. The combination of the amazing pasta textures, mushroom sauce, cheese, and heat made me continually sigh and exclaim my pleasure.
So good, nothing was left
Hungry friends need cheesy things
UncategorizedAttention to detail /careful presentation
UncategorizedI love how different sushi restaurants pay attention to the details of presentation in slightly different ways. This time I had a quick small of vege gyoza and sunomono with a cute star carrot.
On another note I noticed the staff speaking Korean. I noticed that at the last 2 sushi places I went to. Are Japanese people a rarity in my area?
Quick, make a salad!
UncategorizedThe breakfast back
UncategorizedHome always brings me the familiar smells and tastes of mom and dad’s cooking. What a hearty compilation of foods – black beans, scrambled eggs with green beans, ripe avocado, fried ripe plantain, vinegar cabbage and carrot slaw, and a bit of yam bread. Gobble gobble, trying hard not to eat too fast!
Man can live on rice alone…
UncategorizedBut I need greens and kimchi too! Some rice filled dishes from the past week, simple, colorful, very filling, and healthy 🙂 This is usually what my lunch looks like.
Brown rice, baby bok choi, and kimchi. The bok choi was quickly sauteed in a little oil so it was still crisp and juicy.
Brown rice with sauerkraut, dave’s killer bread with the best pesto, I can’t get enough.
White rice, steamed broccolletes w/braggs, and kimchi on the side to add to every bite!
