Breakfast can sometimes be daunting. Especially on a weekend when the house is empty. I tried making Shakshouka! I didn’t have any onions unfortunately, but I had lots of dried tomatoes and korean red pepper! The taste was bold and awakening. Poacher for life, so good…

Happy hour with a couple of girls.  I got the house pickles, which were beautifully arranged, but they all had the same flavor. At first I thought I could enjoy the different colors and textures but in the end I just couldn’t finish.

The grilled mushroom skewers were so amazing though.  Very umami.  Came sprinkled with green onion and parsley.

Work Pesto

The fam made home made pesto the other day. Basil from the garden and pine nuts from the costco. It’s soo strong! I think it’s a little strong to serve to a group at dinner, but I love it! Open the flood gates of appetite!
